How will the Secret Combinations be overthrown?

Today I read this in 2 Nephi 11:

4 Behold, my soul delighteth in proving unto my people the truth of the coming of Christ;
6 And my soul delighteth in proving unto my people that save Christ should come all men must perish; 8...that whoso of my people shall see these words may lift up their hearts and rejoice for all men.

I thought, wow...I have really been engaged in searching the scriptures and the words of the prophets to try to "prove" that God is going to do a "marvelous work and a wonder" among the children of men in response to this pandemic that will open the door for massive conversion to the gospel. And not so much to "prove" to convince, but to "prove" to build faith.

Today, I was beginning the Come Follow Me study for this week, which is about Abinadi testifying before King Noah. When I went to copy the video from YouTube to my blog, it wouldn't go to the actual video, no matter how I searched for it - even copying the URL exactly from the site. The link just went to a video of Elder Holland speaking about Abinadi. He has such a strong, emotional testimony about this particular witness of the Lord, of whom he, himself is one.

This led me to think: What if.... the way this pandemic will end, is that President Nelson will testify before President Trump as openly and clearly as did Abinadi. He will expose the secret combinations false use of science to promote fear and control. He will do so in a manner that proves what he is saying is true, like Nephi did when he told them the chief judge had been murdered and proved who did it.

Helaman 8:

4 And those judges were angry with him because he spake plainly unto them concerning their secret works of darkness; nevertheless, they durst not lay their own hands upon him, for they feared the people lest they should cry out against them.

Then I thought again about the video of Elder Holland and his recent GC talk about hope where he said at the end, "I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep", almost like when Abinadi said, "touch me not, for I have not delivered the message which the Lord sent me to deliver". My next thought was: What if.... Elder Holland is the one to deliver the message?

Either messenger would be great. Pres. Nelson is a doctor and so he has credibility to speak on this subject. Elder Holland can speak powerful words that pierce the heart, so he would be a wonderful messenger as well.

The world would know that this message was given. It would be on every news channel and YouTube channel. It would be tied unmistakably to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And while the Deep State controlled Left would try to spin it and perhaps start the persecution of the church, ALL the patriots of the country/world that are starting to rise up and rebel against the control that is going on would herald him as a hero. Millions would be asking, "who is this 'prophet' and how does he speak with such power, and how does he know such things?"

Pres. Nelson told us in January:

"Heavenly Father wants you. We want you. This is going to be an important year. We invite you to be a major part in sharing the message of the ongoing Restoration of the Savior’s gospel. We will share more about this soon, but you can start today by acting on the invitations I extended to you at last general conference to immerse yourself in the glorious light of the Restoration....The time to act is now. This is a hinge point in the history of the Church, and your part is vital. I testify that Jesus Christ Lives. He leads this Church today. God is trusting us, all of us, to play an important role in the Restoration of His gospel."

Something is going to happen to spark the interest of millions of people. It will take ALL of us to answer their questions. Perhaps the reason the missionaries were brought home to the USA was to handle the massive influx of new members. They won't be able to teach all the people that want to be taught. Every member will have to help and be able to share this glorious message.

The other thought about the 'important role' we have to play in the Restoration, is that the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon cannot come forth until the Gentiles repent. Conversion is preceded by repentance. This massive conversion by the Gentiles is the prophesied "repentance of the Gentiles" that is necessary for the scriptures to be revealed. This truly is the hingepoint in the history of the church. It turns the key for the 'ongoing Restoration' that we've been waiting for; and that 'restoration' is the House of Israel being restored to the true knowledge of God as promised to their fathers.

Elder Cook just said:

“This time is foundational and will allow the Church to grow in the future and touch more lives and do more of the work of salvation than ever before. (Something is going to happen that spurs church growth like never before!) We will look back on this as a foundational time of preparation, and not just something we had to endure.” (Unlike past pandemics, we will see God's hand/purpose in this pandemic where things are happening that have never happened before. It will be seen as foundational because it has captured the attention of the entire world so when the prophet speaks, the word of God will sound in "every ear, among every nation, kindred and people".)

Elder Cook said,

"on occasion, senior Church leaders discuss what “impedes our awakening unto God.” (what is coming is going to "wake us up". We can see that people have been waking up their senses already. They are being "primed" for the gospel!)

Sometimes they conclude it is being
overcome by the world or the natural man, or because of
ignorance of the gospel, he said. Other times it is a
feeling of self-sufficiency or the opposite
sense of hopelessness or worthlessness. Sometimes it is
transgression.
(All these things are going on. Only 1 of 5 is due to pride and rebellion. The other 4 are due to not knowing. God is going to "unveil his face" and give these people a chance)

Many times, it is “a
failure to appreciate that the [Savior’s] Atonement
     overcomes the unfairness of life and
     poor decisions of those who exercise their agency and inflict harm on others,” he said.
(This is where the loving, merciful, benevolent character of God is being revealed. The cries of all those in this category are strong and they are countless in number. Every 'counseling' case I hear of, the people have been abused in some manner as children.)

“Now most of us are spending considerable time at home and have a chance to think about awakening unto God. Perhaps recent events can be a spiritual alarm clock -(this video might wake you up :) chuckle

focusing us on those things that matter most. If so, it will be a great blessing in this period to concentrate on things that we can perfect in our lives and how we can bless the lives of others as we awaken to God and move along the covenant path.”

Elder Cook said the adjustments impacting Latter-day Saint worship are temporary. “In due time, temples will open, and we will be able to gather as congregations and continue the work of salvation. All the things that are necessary to accomplish the Lord’s plan — will continue and bless His people. We will joyfully participate together in the ways that have blessed our lives in the past. (This can only happen if the Deep State narrative is blown apart.)

“I testify that we have a loving Heavenly Father and His beloved Son, Jesus Christ who give us daily the strength and courage to go forward in difficult times.”

Why do I think the Secret Combinations will be outed? A previous post talks about comparing our day to the last 13 years before Christ appeared to the Nephites. I found another scripture that supports this idea:

2 Nephi 10
15 Wherefore, for this cause, that my covenants may be fulfilled which I have made unto the children of men, that I will do unto them while they are in the flesh, I must needs destroy the secret works of darkness, and of murders, and of abominations.

I don't think God can fulfill his covenants to gather Israel, which Pres. Nelson said is the most important thing we can do right now, which we're not really doing very well at all right now, and which, if Satan gets his way, we will never be able to do well again...until he destroys the secret works of darkness. They are going to have to come out in the open and fight openly against God and not in secret anymore. But at first, when they are exposed, the people will not join them.

2 Nephi 27:
11 And the day cometh that the words of the book which were sealed shall be read upon the house tops; and they shall be read by the power of Christ; and all things shall be revealed unto the children of men which ever have been among the children of men, and which ever will be even unto the end of the earth.

Alma 37:
21 And now, I will speak unto you concerning those twenty-four plates, (these are the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon) that ye keep them, that the mysteries and the works of darkness, and their secret works, or the secret works of those people who have been destroyed, may be made manifest unto this people; yea, all their murders, and robbings, and their plunderings, and all their wickedness and abominations, may be made manifest unto this people;"

2 Nephi 30:

8 And it shall come to pass that the Lord God shall commence his work among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, to bring about the restoration of his people upon the earth. Has the work of God 'commenced' among all nations, kindred, tongues, and people? This pandemic has been a WORLDWIDE event, so whatever ends it will have WORLDWIDE attention! The restoration has just begun. We hear of the continuing restoration and may think of "doctrine" but it may really be more about "people". God is going to fulfill his covenant to Abraham. We are JUST NOW going to be instrumental in fulfilling the promise that through Ephraim all the world will be blessed. Pres. Nelson just said, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is preparing the world for the day when “the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord” (Isaiah 11:9). )

What does it look like for the work of the Lord to "commence"? After Ammon converted King Lamoni and his wife and a few of the servants and began to preach the scriptures say:

Alma 19:36 And thus the work of the Lord did commence among the Lamanites; thus the Lord did begin to pour out his Spirit upon them; and we see that his arm is extended to all people who will repent and believe on his name.

9 And with righteousness shall the Lord God judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. The 'rod of his mouth' sounds like the messenger who speaks in his name - the prophet, the Davidic Servant (John the Revelator? Joseph Smith? the Three Nephites?) Are they going to come on to the scene soon?

10 For the time speedily cometh I always take this expression to mean that it will happen "quickly" not that it will happen "soon" by the calendar...that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people, Pres. Nelson just said,

"The time is coming when those who do not obey the Lord will be separated from those who do (see Doctrine and Covenants 86:1–7).

and the wicked will he destroy; and he will spare his people, yea, even if it so be that he must destroy the wicked by fire.

16 Wherefore, the things of all nations shall be made known; yea, all things shall be made known unto the children of men.

17 There is nothing which is secret save it shall be revealed; there is no work of darkness save it shall be made manifest in the light; and there is nothing which is sealed upon the earth save it shall be loosed. I admit this could all happen at the time of His Second Coming and the beginning of the Millennium. But there is nothing to say that it couldn't be earlier either, is there?

More of what Pres. Nelson said in his April Ensign article:

"You and I get to participate in the ongoing Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is wondrous! It is not man-made! (As opposed to this pandemic which I believe is man-made) It comes from the Lord, who said, “I will hasten my work in its time” (Doctrine and Covenants 88:73). It's TIME!!!

The Church will have an unprecedented, unparalleled future. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, … the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9; see also Doctrine and Covenants 76:10). The prophet is SO EXCITED about what is going to happen! We haven't seen ANYTHING YET!! And we've never really talked about what is literally coming either.

Remember that the fulness of Christ’s ministry lies in the future. Do you really think that is after the wicked have been destroyed and the wicked destroy millions of innocent before that? Remember the 5 reasons Elder Cook said we are asleep. Don't you think Jesus wants to come and minister to them BEFORE his Second Coming? Remember Christ ministers to the 'sick' not the healthy. This ministry is probably not referring to those in the New Jerusalem, but those that are now lost. The prophecies of His Second Coming have yet to be fulfilled. We are just building up to the climax of this last dispensation—when the Savior’s Second Coming becomes a reality. I am just now combing through the prophecies of the Second Coming. And not just what happens after He comes, but what leads up to that. It's not just about tribulations, it about RESTORATION and GATHERING and FULFILLING COVENANTS and SAVING. Judgment only comes for those who refuse his mercy.

A necessary prelude to that Second Coming (This is what he means by the "prophecies of the Second Coming" yet to be fulfilled...is the long-awaited gathering of scattered Israel (see 1 Nephi 15:18; see also the title page of the Book of Mormon). hasn't happened yet. Can't you see how this "long-awaited" gathering would excite the prophets of all the past generations? Wouldn't it be exciting to see the mass conversions of your seed after the long years of darkness? This doctrine of the gathering is one of the important teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Lord has declared: “I give unto you a sign … that I shall gather in, from their long dispersion, my people, O house of Israel, and shall establish again among them my Zion” (3 Nephi 21:1). THIS is the prelude to ZION!

"Do whatever it takes to strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ by increasing your understanding of the doctrine taught in His restored Church and by relentlessly seeking truth. That is what I feel like I am doing right now:)Anchored in pure doctrine, you will be able to step forward with faith and dogged persistence and cheerfully do all that lies in your power to fulfill the purposes of the Lord.
