What If...

The following is more an offering of “faith” of what I hope will be along with what we know will be, rather than a statement of prophecy or a scholarly attempt to discern the signs of the time. I have included links to support my train of thought to show that it’s not just a “wish list” but is based on scriptures, quotes, and pieces of “evidence” floating around a “sea of opinions” (internet).

I invite you to add your thoughts, impression, links, scriptures, quotes or hopes that support this narrative. I firmly believe in “group revelation”!

What if….

we are following the patterns in 3^rd Nephi 3 – 8? Remembering Mormon “saw our day” and the Book of Mormon was preserved to come forth in these latter days…

BOOK OF MORMON
1. The Nephites just came out of “isolation” in the city of Zarahemla, having defeated the Lamanites. (chap 3)

2. The Gadiantons either convert or are destroyed (chap 4)

3. There is great prosperity in a very short time because of the actions of the Governor of the land. (chap 5)

4. There’s a period of righteousness and the church spreads throughout the land. (chap 5)

5. The pride cycle kicks in very quickly and within a few short years the church is broken up and they become wicked and are in open rebellion against God, and thus “ripe in iniquity”. (chap 6)

6. The Secret Combinations kill the governor of the land/destroy the government. (chap 7)

7. An anti-Christ is put in to power (chap 7)

8. Destruction/judgments  (chap 8)

9. Christ appears (chap 8)

OUR DAY:

1.   We come out of quarantine into a “season of spirituality ushered in by General Conference, Palm Sunday and Easter (Pres.Ballard)

2.   Pres. Trump has used the pandemic as an opportunity to take down the deep-state, reveals their secret works to the world (D&C1:3) and restores the Constitution and rights the government, (see this link and others on her channel) 

3.   ushering in instant prosperity by modeling a “jubilee” year and forgiving all debt, removing the Federal Reserve and the IRS, and taking us back to the gold standard. This would devalue the dollar and perhaps cancel union contracts which brings on the civil war among union states. (attributed to Joseph Smith)

4.   Because “Our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, will perform some of His mightiest works between now and when He comes again. We will see miraculous indications that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, preside over this Church in majesty and glory.” (Pres.Nelson)  As a result, and because the Pope openly aligns himself with the anti-christ and a new world order, millions will leave the Catholic Church and convert. What if… this is why so many missionaries have been called home – to handle the influx of member converts in the US?

This brief “season of spirituality” is our last merciful chance as a nation but it is given because “The Lord Jesus Christ loves us with a love beyond our ability to comprehend.” (Ballard)The coming miracles and revelations (Ether 4:16-17) will be known by and available to all to accept or reject. Pres.Kimballs’ prophecy about much of the future growth of the church coming because of the women of the church, may come in to play here. Temples may reopen 24/7 to accommodate the gathering of Israel on BOTH sides of the veil. The 1 year requirement for temple blessings may be waived per local leader recommendations. (Just my hope)

We also, as a people have not had the fullness of the Gospel made known. How can the Gentiles of the covenant land be swept off in a ‘fullness of iniquity’ (3Nephi 6:18; 3Nephi 20:28) when they haven’t known or had it? They are more like the wicked Lamanites who haven’t been brought up right, than the rebellious Nephites who had the fullness of the Gospel from time of the visitation of Christ forward. 

5.   The pride cycle kicks in quickly. Even though Americans have lived a prosperous life compared to the rest of the world, it is a false prosperity for most, who live on credit. We, as a people, have not truly known wealth. We know what nice things are, and comforts, and vacations, and freedom, but we haven’t really, as a people known how to handle true prosperity and we don’t handle it well…

6.- 9.The Secret Combinations still exist and they stir up other nations to war against us and WWIII begins. They combine to remove the President and establish the anti-Christ. The anti-christ goes to war against Israel.  The church goes into the wilderness and you know the rest of the story…..

In the Book of Mormon, this took about 13 years. But because the Lord is “hastening His work” and we know there will be a “compression of events” it will happen much faster in our day…

As we celebrate a bicentennial “year” of the restoration and the First Vision, we remember that side by side with the heavens being opened, angels, miracles, revelations, new scriptures and thousands of converts there was persecution, sickness, death, civil unrest and wars. We should expect the same.

We know “the world will not glide calmly to the Second Coming”, (Anderson) but we also know that this is the “greatest season in the history of the church” (Hinckley) and that Zion will be established and readied to meet the Lord and receive the City of Enoch. 

“Now, my brethren, “these are [your] days” (Hel.7:9) in the history of the Church. Mark well what kind of days they will be, days when, with special visibility, the Lord will “make bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations.” (D&C 133:3.) God will also “hasten” His work. (D&C88:73.) He will also “shorten” the last days “for the elect’s sake”; hence, there will be a compression of events. (Matt.24:22; JS—M 1:20.) Furthermore, “all things shall be in commotion.” (D&C88:91.) Only those in the process of becoming the men and women of Christ will be able to keep their spiritual balance. Brethren, may we “walk by faith,” and, if necessary, even on our knees! In the name of the Lord of the universe, even Jesus Christ, amen.” (Maxwell)
